Hi, I’m Havilah! I am an artist, and I love nature. I design, illustrate, and direct, and I’m always up to try new kinds of projects.

One of my all-time favorite things about Life is the opportunity. Every day I get to decide how I will spend my time, who I will see, and where I will go. The possibilities are endless, and while that’s sometimes a terrifying notion, it’s also thrilling.

I am fueled by hearing new ideas, walking in nature, reading, staring out the window when there’s a storm outside, and above all else, pondering the nature and holiness of the Lord. I enjoy connecting with people and hearing their stories, because the fact that everyone has lived a different life is incredibly interesting to me.

I am always searching for magic- not the top hat and rabbit kind, but the kind that puts butterflies in your stomach when you see a sunset that takes your breath away, or when the perfect song plays when you’re with friends late at night. I believe the world would be a better place if more people kept their eyes and hearts open to those kinds of moments, because they remind us how truly miraculous our world is, and how (in the best way) oh-so-small we really are.

Check out some things I’ve created!

Art is the physical manifestation of the inner world. I create to process, to feel, and to share my heart.

Education

Believe it or not, I never went to college. I graduated pretty young and didn’t feel comfortable leaving home. There weren’t any great design programs offered locally, so I taught myself. Well, my collection of books and Professor YouTube taught me.

Early Life

I lived my developing years on a hobby farm in the country, playing in the sun, building tree forts, and helping to care for our chickens, cats, dog, and other animals. I have loved nature dearly since I was a wee thing, and that love has only grown.

Present Day

I’m a chronic planner, but I believe in living in the moment and accepting opportunities as I find them. I cherish times of peace, and I enjoy the busy seasons. I try to stay organized, but life happens and I’m learning to be okay with that.

I think my younger self would be proud of me. I have become more assertive, I’ve worked on projects I only dreamed about as a kid, and I live a fulfilling life with my dear husband.
